Roly Poly Pot. Plant thirsty, pot tumbles

It is the sign of times when one sees flower pots being designed to let their owners know how to take care of the plants. Unlike our forefathers who toiled in the fields, many of us modern day folks probably do not have much of a clue (nor the time) on how to take care of a plant.

Hence we earlier saw a digital pot that showed the plant's health using cute LCD icons. Now, another designer by the name of Samgmin Bae gives us his concept flower pot called Roly Poly Pot. This is one funny pot. When the plant is thirsty, the pot tumbles over!

According to Cool Merchant, they are the first Malaysian company to offer a unique outdoor cooling solution since opening in 1996.

Not contented with merely introducing their mist fan product, the folks at Cool Merchant also introduced a new word to us... Mistscaping!

Secretani, an eco-friendly fertiliser and growth enhancer

The Star has an article entitled Taking the chore out of gardening. The article mentions that Sesama Ventures has opened Secretani Green Stations in Kuantan Parade and Tesco Ampang. The company will have kiosks in all Tesco outlets nationwide by the end of August. The Green Station is a one-stop gardening kiosk selling plants and tools as well as the company's eco-friendly fertiliser and growth enhancer called Secretani.

Here is an extract from the article:
Secretani was researched and developed in Japan but it has been localised and is manufactured in Malaysia. It can be used for both decorative plants and vegetables, and comes in a convenient spray can; more than 10,000 bottles have been sold. It helps keep away pests and mosquitoes and can be used for houseplants.
