Top Malaysian model Amber Chia's latest home is a three-storey linked house in corner lot. It is one of only six units developed by the UOA Group at Jalan Halimathon in Old Klang Road. The built-up space is 4,300sq ft with six bedrooms. With such a big house, Amber explains that the house is not only for her. She will be living with an elder sister, a younger sister and her niece.
Amber’s house was completed in August last year. The original price was RM1.9mil but she managed to get a discount amounting to some 20%.
According to Amber, she did not need to do much renovation as she felt that most of the things, from the porcelain floor tiles to the walls and doors, were already perfect. The only thing she did was to knock through a wall separating her master bedroom from another bedroom in order to have a large walk-in Maxima wardrobe.
The interior design was done by her good friend, Edwin Thassian of Fix Interior. The style is called modern classic.
Being a top model has its perks. Half-a-million worth of items was all sponsored. The items range from the DSM sofa to the Pensonic flat-screen TV sets and air-conditioners as well as kitchen appliances. There is also a huge poster of Amber Chia that was sponsored by Boldea Creative. According to Amber, she has 18 sponsors in total. From the actual furnishing cost of RM600,000, she only had to spend RM100,000.
