Guocera Holdings Sdn Bhd, the country's leading ceramic tile exporter, has successfully grown its brand around the Life Inspirations concept.
From the normal purpose tiles, it has developed an entire range of tiles reflecting the various shades of nature, people's lifestyles and personal experiences.
Each experience is carefully defined and is aimed at fuelling people's imagination and exciting their senses. Simulating the actual home or office environment, Guocera tiles have penetrated 50 countries and the company aims to create a strong niche in the world market.
Managing director Richard W.C. Ng said the company, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Leong Industries Sdn Bhd, commanded 30% of the domestic market and exported about 40% of its total production.
It exports to the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, New Zealand, the Middle East, South Africa and India, Ng told StarBiz.
As part of its expansion strategy, Guocera aims to increase its exports to 55% of total sales by 2010. It uses the theme Life Inspirations for its brand.
